The Snow And Rock

3 Valleys

The largest linked ski area in the world, the Three Valleys offers 335 ski runs of varying difficulty and at differing altitudes. With 4 glaciers to choose from it means that snow conditions are good all season long.

The Three Valleys, as the name suggests, consists of the 3 parallel valleys of Courchevel, Meribel and Belleville. With 600 kms of interconnected slopes and 180 ski lifts you are spoilt for choice. And with 8 different resorts to choose from there is a vast array of accommodation, ranging from low cost options to luxury 5 star hotels.

When it comes to après, the Three Valleys are in a league of their own. Party lovers head to Meribel and Val Thorens where there are a large number of bars to choose from including the well known piste-side après venues of the Rond Point in Meribel and the Folie Douce in Val Thorens. For something a little quieter, head to the typical French villages of St Martin de Belleville or Les Allues where you’ll find pretty bars and restaurants.

Sunshine Village

Boasting almost 100% soft, natural snow, Sunshine Village is renowned for it's lengthy ski season from mid-November until late May.

Located just a 20 minute drive from the world-class resort town of Banff, skiers and snowboarders can hop aboard the Sunshine Village high-speed 8 passenger gondola and arrive to over 3,300 acres of stunning alpine terrain in under 20 minutes.

Located at the top of the Continental Divide, the majority of the terrain at Sunshine Village is above 7,000 feet, far above the hustle and bustle of the valley below.

The resort features 12 different lifts including 8 super lifts, a high speed gondola, 3 different mountains to explore, and the novel opportunity to ski or ride in both the province of Alberta and British Columbia on the same run!

Lake Louise

With breathtaking views of the Rocky Mountains, Lake Louise was voted Canada's Best Ski Resort in the World Ski Awards 2015. The small village is perfectly positioned close to the skiing, and by the magnificent lake, with a handful of shops and the hotels providing restaurants and bars for evening relaxation. The tranquil atmosphere, jaw dropping scenery and roaming wildlife such as elk and big horn make this a dream destination - plus endless powder and record snowfalls means the skiing is pretty good too. Lake Louise is close to the ski areas of Sunshine Village and Norquay, with shuttle buses running between them.
